Most Used Media and On-line Marketing
So what area of media and online marketing are you most involved with? Ask? Is that Ask the search co, i.e. Ask, Google, XML feed syndication? -- Scott Knox
The short answer is "The media that reaches buyers." That's not meant to be a trick answer, truly the media online marketing I use is tested to work for my company and clients, but that's not all. If you want results ...
As the largest online network of business-to-business sales and marketing resources, I'm into a little bit of each media depending on the situation. I conduct in-house search engine marketing, customer feedback with ask campaigns, and have many feeds in syndication.
Not only that, I have multiple single purpose websites, some for testing, some for production, and some for customer service. This particular site, the Ask Justin Hitt Blog, is where I answer questions from selling professionals as they seek to create and keep profitable customers.
Right now I try to balance my outreach across online, print, and telephone; however, my clients use everything under the sun, each as it tests. The key is targeting the right buyer to reach them through a media they use and respect..
If you are into on-line media, especially as it pertains to business websites, then you'll probably enjoy a site I recently launched called B2B Website Profits at http://B2bWebsiteProfits.com/
There is no one channel that works best, you will be rewarded for balancing your campaigns across multiple channels depending on your return. A balanced strategy provides stability and reaches customers who may not be available in other medias.
When I sit down with clients the biggest challenge is getting them past the "latest new thing" and optimize what they are already doing well. Traditional channels work as your foundation, with new technology peppered in as it is profitable.
