Using the Internet for Customer Communications and Prospecting
Yes, there are secret messages in my posts. I get asked many times by customers and visitors why some posts hint at certain strategies, while others come right out describe them. There's a very important reason why I write like this and you should too.
In putting together a new self-study program tentatively titled Business-to-Business Website Profits, I realized that I had limited resources to promote the program and serve customers with new insights it provides.
Because resources are limited, you can't always find the time to create valuable resources for your customers, provide services, AND prospect; so why not combine some of these efforts. For public facing pages, create content that speaks to both prospects and customers.
You'll find many of my posts hinting at tools, resources, and other strategies because I'm really talking with three audiences. My customers have full access to these tools as members to my Applying Strategic Relations program, while prospects are being made aware such tools are available.
Internet Marketing experts focus only on the marketing aspects of the Internet.
Instead, think of the Internet as a communications tool. Content that is publicly available needs to serve both your customers and your prospects -- by combining the purpose of some materials you're able to serve both marketing and communications needs.
But don't think I'm letting you off that easy, there are more things to consider when creating content for your business-to-business website, especially if creating sales is your primary objective. You'll have to stay tuned for those or request more information on B2B website profits.
