How to Stay "In Touch" with Customers Over Time?

An excellent way to build ongoing customer relationships is to have a newsletter. A newsletter allows you a valuable contact each month on a broadcast basis that feels one-to-one. Establish trust, build credibility, and even make sales with a properly written newsletter.

I used to think newsletters had to be a big production, taking days to produce, something I really had to suffer over -- at least until I met Jessica Albon. Now my newsletters take very little time compared to the results they create for my business.

Jessica showed me that the ingredients to a successful newsletter include personality, a conversational tone, and awareness of readers needs (there are 5 total ingredients you'll discover at her Newsletter Coach Blog.)

There are a number of different approaches to newsletters when building customer relationships, here are two models I use:

  • Client Newsletter -- Completely fun, non-business newsletter to reward my active clients. The newsletter is 4 pages, delivered by postal mail. You can only get this newsletter by being an active client.
  • Prospect / Customer Newsletter -- Educational newsletter about building business relationships, delivered by email. Newsletter lessons run from 4 to 8 pages. Click here to get a complementary copy of this newsletter.

As a member of Jessica's Newsletter Spa, I've learned there are various models for newsletters. The model best for your relationship building efforts really depends on factors too numerous to discuss here.

If you are considering starting a newsletter, or want to improve the one you have, I highly recommend getting some of Jessica's training materials. They are significantly UNDER priced for their value -- she is literally giving these materials away in my opinion. A complete list of newsletter resources are available on her website.

A regular newsletter is a great way to stay in touch with customers, build credibility, and establish necessary factors that contribute to strong business relationships.
